Albert Heijn has over a thousand stores in the Netherlands. In all these stores, employees work with nine different systems on bulky handheld devices with grey screens. That can be improved in this digital age. So, together with Albert Heijn, we combined all these systems into one convenient app.

Meet WINK, the shop assistant app

Less time on processes = more time for customers

Staff now spend less time on administration. This has a logical and welcome effect: employees are on the shop floor more often. And that’s exactly where they can truly assist customers.

In the pre-WINK era, employees relied on the Appie-app when customers asked such questions. Now, they simply use WINK.

With WINK, we’ve created a staff app with the same quality user experience as a consumer app. This is quite special, as it’s something an organisation can offer to its own staff. Now, employees no longer have to constantly use the consumer app to look up product information; they can work with their own fully-featured app.

It's a hit!

Albert Heijn employees are extremely satisfied. In fact, the staff is "fighting" over who gets to use WINK. It works much faster. At the moment, WINK is being rolled out across the Netherlands. Every two weeks, 40 more stores are added. By the end of September, all employees in all 1008 stores in the Netherlands will be using WINK.

The DIA Awards: we came, we saw, and we conquered. And in the Tools category, we won gold together with Albert Heijn. According to the jury, WINK is well-designed, and the combination of different systems is a success. They believe it truly delivers a consumer-grade experience for employees. And we’re, of course, incredibly proud of that.
